- Sandy is an active member of the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, including holding a seat on the Board of Directors from January 1999 to December 2004. At the Chamber she has chaired many committees, re-vamped the Ambassador Corp and initiated the "Talk to an Expert" series. Sandy was also asked to join the Chamber team to streamline their accounting department.

- Past treasurer of BNI (Business Network International) in 1996.

- Past member of Finance Committee for the Volunteer Centre in 1996.

- Recommended, started and sits on the Financial Committees for the Aboriginal Nurses Association of Canada (ANAC) and the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada (FNCFCS).

- Wrote & have copyright for accounting manual - ACCPAC Plus Training Manual.

- Sandy was a 1997 Finalist for the Ottawa-Carleton Business Achievement Awards, Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

- Sandy was featured in City Woman's Winter 2001, Profiling Women in Business.

- Sandy has given many workshops covering a variety of accounting topics as well as written several articles for local newspapers.
